Key Responsibilities
• Develop financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans, and directing staff.
• Develops organizational financial strategies by contributing to accounting information, analysis, and recommendations.
• Strategic think and direct and establishing functional objectives in line with organizational objectives.
• Establish finance operational strategies by evaluating trends.
• Develop organization prospects by studying economic trends and revenue opportunities, projecting acquisition and expansion prospects, analyzing organization operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, cost reduction, and systems enhancement and accumulating capital to fund expansion.
• Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; and developing action plans.
• Monitors financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
• Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities and maintaining relationships with the investment community.
• Reports financial status by developing forecasts, reporting results, analyzing variances, and developing improvements.
• Drive the company's financial planning
• Perform risk management by analyzing the organization's liabilities and investments
• Decide on investment strategies by considering cash and liquidity risks
• Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization's operations
• Manage finance vendor relationships
• Set up and oversee the company's finance IT system
• Ensure compliance with the law and company's policies
• Manage team of financial analysts.
Qualification
• A minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role
• A post-graduate degree in Finance, Accounting & Economics
• A professional certification in an accounting course is a plus.
• Must have 10 years' working experience which must be in the financial services industry.
• Candidates must demonstrate outstanding analytical skills, understanding of financial statements and financial modeling, and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication and people skills.
