Job Summary:
This role requires a deep understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
1. Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements and reports in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
2. Account Management:
- Monitor and oversee the general ledger and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and collections.
3. Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
4. Compliance and Audits:
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures, as well as relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations of transactions.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic planning.
- Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies.
6. Ensuring day-to-day transactions such as accounts payable, cash receipts and accounts receivable, credit card transactions, and payroll are recorded properly.
7. Performing timely and accurate month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., net assets, investments, revenue, expenses, payroll allocations, etc.), ensuring that accounting schedules are updated and accurate.
8. Other duties as assigned to meet organizational requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree or professional accounting certification, such as CPA or ACCA, is preferred).
- Minimum [8] years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, with at least [4] years in a supervisory or senior role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
