In this role, you will:

  • Maintain payroll records, including timesheets, leave balances, tax declarations, allowances and superannuation.
  •  File of all processed documents promptly and correctly.
  •  Print, envelope and distribute payslips after every pay run.
  •  Calculate and process deductions such as tax (PAYG), superannuation and other benefits.
  •  Update employee information in payroll systems (e.g., new hires, terminations, salary changes).
  •  Liaise with HR and other departments to coordinate payroll data and resolve discrepancies.
  •  Respond to employee enquiries promptly and efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit payroll reports for management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Assist in audits and ensure data integrity through regular checks and balances.
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security in handling sensitive employee information
  • Assist Payroll Specialist with month end task when required.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience.

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role 
  • Good computer skills with the ability to use integrated management systems, word processing, presentation and spread sheet applications
  • Good English, both written and oral
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all levels
  • Ability to work as part of a team and foster team building
  • Ability to work unsupervised and work with attention to detail
  • The Ability to learn and asks for help where necessary and pass on/share knowledge
