Job Summary
The Financial Controller (FC) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the Company’s financial records, reporting, and controls. The role serves as the principal custodian of financial governance, statutory compliance, and internal control effectiveness, supporting the CFO in delivering transparent, timely, and compliant financial information to Management, the Board, and external stakeholders.
The Financial Controller translates financial policy into disciplined execution, ensures compliance with IFRS and other statutory regulatory requirements, while maintaining robust accounting processes across Manga Paints Nigeria LTD and its subsidiaries.
Requirements:
Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or any related field from a reputable university;
• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk control, or any related field will be an added advantage.
Professional Certification(s):
• Active and full membership of at least one relevant professional body e.g ICAN,/ACA/ACCA/CFA/CITN, or its equivalent is mandatory
Experience:
• Minimum of 12 years relevant experience with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
Knowledge requirements:
• Knowledge of state and federal tax laws and business regulations.
• Working knowledge of budgeting, planning, management accounting, and corporate finance.
• Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel.
• Technology savvy.
