Temple Investments is seeking a dynamic and strategic Financial Inclusion Lead to drive the firm’s financial inclusion and access-to-finance programs. The role will focus on developing and executing innovative solutions that expand access to finance and financial inclusion for women, youth entrepreneurs, persons with disabilities, women-led enterprises, SMEs, and underserved communities across Ghana. The successful candidate will work closely with public and private sector stakeholders, development finance institutions, investors, and internal teams to design impactful financing programs and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the financial inclusion activities of the FILMA program
- Lead the development and implementation of Temple’s financial inclusion strategy and initiatives.
- Design and implement innovative financing solutions, strategic partnerships, and
- ecosystem-building initiatives that support inclusive economic growth and sustainable development.
- Identify and structure innovative access-to-finance solutions for underserved markets and sectors, including agriculture.
- Build strategic partnerships for Temple with financial institutions, DFIs, governments, investors, and ecosystem stakeholders focused on financial inclusion.
- Lead the design, structuring, and execution of blended finance solutions, including catalytic capital, guarantees, technical assistance facilities, and risk-sharing mechanisms that mobilize private capital towards financial inclusion objectives.
- Develop and manage financing initiatives across agricultural and agribusiness value chains to improve access to finance, strengthen market linkages, and drive inclusive economic growth for rural communities and smallholder farmers.
- Lead investment governance processes, including the preparation of Investment Committee (IC) submissions, credit assessments, restructuring recommendations, and formal IC correspondence
- Build and maintain dynamic financial models for cashflow planning, partner allocation, coverage scenario analysis to support program reporting and decision-making.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the impact and performance of financial inclusion initiatives and programs.
- Represent Temple Investments in stakeholder engagements, industry forums, and policy discussions related to inclusive finance and SME development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s and master’s degrees in finance, Economics, Development Finance, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in financial inclusion, SME finance, development finance, agricultural finance, or program management.
- Strong understanding of inclusive finance, SME ecosystems, and entrepreneurship development in Africa.
- Proven experience managing strategic partnerships, donor-funded initiatives, or development programs.
- Demonstrated experience in structuring financing solutions and engaging with investors and development partners.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, communication, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in financial modelling (Excel), including cashflow projections, and scenario analysis; ability to build and maintain dynamic, formula-driven workbooks.
- Experience with investment governance processes, including credit committee or investment committee workflows, facility documentation, and structured debt or concessional finance instruments.
- Experience engaging with the informal sector, especially through the VSLA model, and facilitating their integration into the formal financial system.
