Qualifications And Experience:
- Degree or HND in Hospitality & Tourism Management
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- Good customer service
- A good communicator at all levels
- Problem-Solving, time Management and multitasking
- Vast knowledge of activities in Vic Falls, Hwange, Kasane (Chobe) and Livingstone etc.

Personal Attributes:
- A pro-active, goal-oriented person who enjoys meeting people from different cultures
- Able to handle guests’ queries/problems in a professional manner
- Mature, confident individual with the ability to work under minimum supervision.

SCOPE OF THE JOB:
The basic scope of the job is to manage the Front Office within the parameters laid down by the Company Directors, achieving and sustaining high levels of quality, service and guest satisfaction whilst remaining at acceptable levels of Gross Profit. The ultimate goal of the Front Office is to be in the forefront of all Accommodation Operations in Victoria Falls.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You are expected to oversee the following operations of the Front Office concentrating on the smooth checking in and out of guests. Ensuring the correct billing and presentation of folios to guests and the Accounts Department.

FRONT OFFICE AND RECEPTION:
- Assist in all aspects of Reception and managing Reception Staff in ensuring smooth check in and out of Guests from the hotel.
- Personal welcome to all guests checking in.
- Special Group check-ins and arrangements for large groups.
- Ensuring all billing done correctly before presentation to guests by Receptionists and then filed in order.
- Daily cash up at Reception.
- Ensuring Accounts Department are given all invoices correctly filed and in order daily.
- Switchboard Operations to be efficient & up to date.

EQUIPMENT:
- All equipment is to be kept hygienically clean.
- All equipment is maintained in good working order.
- The highest equipment safety is to be maintained.
- Maintenance reporting procedure is to be administered.

HYGIENE:
- All Front Office Staff are to practice the highest standards of hygiene and take personal pride in their uniform and appearance.

STAFF:
- Staff are to be trained according to the Front Office Procedures.
- Discipline of all staff that report to the Front of House Manager should be administered by the Human Resources Manager.
- Staff are to be organised onto a duty roster, by you and a copy given to Human Resources.
- Staff uniforms to always be consistent with the Group standards.

DEPARTMENTAL RELATIONS:
- Assistance should be given to any reasonable requests by any hotel Head of Department.

GUEST RELATIONS:
- Meet and talk with guests of Ilala Lodge.
- Maximise Guest satisfaction of the services provided by Ilala Lodge Hotel
- Assist with any problems relating to guests

UNIFORM:
- A uniform will be provided, and you will be required to wear this uniform at all times whilst on duty.

DUTIES AND HOURS OF WORK:
- Six days off per month.
- Management shifts as per duty roster and to cover General Duty Management.
- 30 days annual leave per year.
