Job Summary:

The Human Resources Officer (NOA) will provide professional HR support to ensure smooth and effective HR operations within the WFP Ghana Country Office. This role focuses on client service, staff welfare, and operational HR processes to enhance workforce efficiency and organizational success.





Key Responsibilities:

  1. HR Operations: Execute standard HR processes and projects in line with WFP’s policies and business needs.
  2. Client Support: Serve as the first point of contact for HR-related queries, ensuring clarity and consistency in policy communication.
  3. Contracts & Entitlements: Administer staff contracts, entitlements, and benefits in compliance with organizational standards.
  4. Talent Development: Identify capability gaps and support training and development initiatives.
  5. Onboarding: Plan and deliver onboarding programs for new hires to ensure smooth integration.
  6. Talent Acquisition & Retention: Support recruitment processes and help build a strong talent pipeline.
  7. Organizational Design: Assist in job structuring and workforce planning to promote efficiency.
  8. Reporting & Data Analysis: Compile HR data, generate reports, and provide insights for management decisions.



Qualifications & Experience:

Education:


  • Advanced University Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
  • OR a First University Degree with additional relevant work experience and/or training.



Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year of postgraduate professional experience in Human Resources.
  • Prior experience or interest in international humanitarian or development work is a plus.



Knowledge & Skills:

  • Strong understanding of HR policies, processes, and best practices.
  • Analytical ability for HR data compilation and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work effectively in multicultural environments.
  • Team-oriented and capable of supporting junior colleagues.


Language:

  • Fluency in English (Level C) is required
