Universal Motors is seeking an experienced, strategic, and people-focused  Human Resource Manager to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity for an HR professional who is passionate about attracting top talent, developing employees, fostering a positive workplace culture, and driving organizational performance.

As the Human Resource Manager, you will lead the company’s HR function by developing and implementing people strategies that support business objectives while promoting employee engagement, productivity, and compliance with employment regulations. You will work closely with  management to build a high-performing workforce and create an inclusive, collaborative, and performance-driven work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all Human Resource functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and HR administration.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes to attract, assess, and retain top talent.
  • Drive employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace culture.
  • Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, and probation management processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on employee performance, disciplinary matters, conflict resolution, and workforce planning.
  • Design and implement performance management systems, employee development plans, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate learning and development programs to enhance employee capabilities.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, employment regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation while ensuring confidentiality.
  • Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and management reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Promote employee wellness, diversity, inclusion, and organizational values across the business.
  • Stay informed on emerging HR trends and recommend improvements that enhance organizational effectiveness.

Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or a related field.
  • A Master’s Degree or professional HR certification (such as SHRM, CIPD, PHR, SPHRi, or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
  • Proven experience as an HR Manager, Human Resources Business Partner, or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment, performance management, employee relations, compensation and benefits, learning and development, and employment legislation.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and HR Information Systems (HRIS).
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced business environment.
