Clean and sort raw transaction journals, general ledgers, and other accounting exports into structured, workable files (by vendor, customer, account, or period).
Trace transactions and journal entries through the accounting records back to source documents, and flag anything that does not tie or look right.
Build pivot tables, maintain multi-tab Excel files, verify formula integrity, and support the senior analyst's workstreams.
Support reconciliations between bank / credit card activity and the accounting records, and flag reconciling items for review.
Manage your assigned tasks end to end, track your work, meet deadlines, and communicate progress without needing constant follow-up.
Required Qualifications:
1-2 years at an audit firm, accounting firm, or similar financial-services role. Not a fresh-graduate position; you should already know your way around books and journals.
Degree or professional qualification in Accounting or Finance (ACCA part-qualified / finalist, CA Inter, ICWA, B. Com, BBA Finance, or equivalent).
Strong grasp of debits and credits, journal entries, P&L, Balance Sheet, and how transactions flow through an accounting system. Able to trace figures to source documents, with audit/vouching experience preferred.
Comfortable handling large, messy journals, ledgers, and exports and turning them into clean, structured files.
Confident with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP, INDEX / MATCH, SUMIFS, IF statements, and multi-tab workbooks. Willing to learn Power Query quickly.
Good written and spoken English for documentation.
Preferred Skills:
Exposure to QuickBooks Online or Xero.
Exposure to Xero, Hubdoc, or other international clients.
Any exposure is a strong advantage.
Financial-modeling coursework, macros, or dashboarding experience.
