Role Overview
African Aspirations is seeking an M&A Analyst to support the execution of mergers & acquisitions, business sales, valuations, transaction advisory, and selected business consulting engagements. The role is primarily focused on Business Brokerage transactions while also supporting consulting assignments involving financial analysis, strategy, investor readiness, and business transformation. This is an execution-oriented position that serves as a key member of both the Transaction Advisory and Consulting teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of M&A, business brokerage, valuation, and transaction advisory engagements.
- Analyze financial statements, perform recasting adjustments, and support business valuations.
- Prepare transaction materials, including Teasers, CIMs, buyer presentations, and investor materials.
- Conduct market, industry, and financial research to support transactions and consulting projects.
- Coordinate due diligence, virtual data rooms, and transaction documentation.
- Support consulting engagements in business strategy, investor readiness, financial analysis, and operational improvement.
- Prepare client reports, financial models, and presentations while managing multiple engagements and meeting deadlines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- Strong financial statement analysis and Excel skills.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and business presentation development.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
- Demonstrated interest in M&A, corporate finance, transaction advisory, or private business.

- Accuracy and quality of financial analysis and valuation support.
- Timely completion of transaction and advisory deliverables.
- Quality of transaction materials and client-facing outputs.
