Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and supervision of mining operations to achieve production targets
- Manage day‑to‑day mining activities in line with approved mine plans
- Ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective mining operations
- Enforce compliance with safety, health, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Coordinate drilling, blasting, loading, hauling, and support services
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions
- Collaborate with mine planning, geology, maintenance, and safety teams
- Prepare operational reports, budgets, and performance reviews
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence
- Support workforce development, training, and discipline
Role Requirements
- Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 8–10 years mining operations experience
- Proven experience in open pit and/or underground mining
- Valid Mine Superintendent Certificate of Competence
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities
- Strong understanding of Ghana mining regulations
- Computer literacy and reporting skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
