OPERATIONS MANAGER

Job Description:
A reputable and growing company within the industrial services, engineering, and logistics sector located in Accra is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Operations Manager to join its team.

Job Purpose
The Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate day-to-day operational activities to ensure efficient service delivery, technical excellence, and high levels of customer satisfaction. The role requires a strong engineering background to support solution delivery, manage operational risks, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage daily operations across logistics, technical services, equipment handling, and project execution.
* Develop and implement operational policies, SOPs, and efficiency improvement strategies.
* Monitor workflows, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
* Provide engineering oversight for solutions delivered to clients in sectors such as mining, oil & gas, manufacturing, and industrial services.
* Support preparation of project proposals, technical reports, and risk assessments.
* Ensure compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
* Supervise, coach, and manage the operations team.
* Plan manpower requirements and allocate resources for timely execution of tasks.
* Serve as the operational contact for clients regarding service execution and issue resolution.
* Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
* Conduct operational audits and oversee equipment maintenance and compliance.
* Prepare periodic operational reports and analyse data to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
* Recommend process improvements, technologies, and operational enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
* Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in operations management within industrial services, engineering, logistics, mining, or oil & gas sectors.
* Strong knowledge of project execution and equipment management.
* Proven leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent analytical, planning, and communication abilities.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical, and client-focused environment.
