JOB OVERVIEW
 We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Regional Courier Manager to oversee and optimize courier operations across a designated region. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader who can drive operational excellence, manage diverse teams, and ensure the seamless delivery of our services while upholding our commitment to speed, integrity, and sustainability.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Management
• Oversee daily courier operations across the designated region, ensuring timely and efficient delivery services
• Monitor and optimize delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize delivery times
• Manage fleet operations including vehicle maintenance schedules, fuel management, and electric bike charging infrastructure
• Implement and maintain quality control standards in line with company policies and customer expectations
• Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure seamless order processing and dispatch

Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of couriers, dispatchers, and support staff
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement development plans
• Recruit, train, and onboard new courier staff, ensuring they understand company standards and safety protocols
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and professional growth
• Address disciplinary issues and resolve staff conflicts in a fair and timely manner

Strategic Planning & Reporting
• Develop and implement regional operational strategies aligned with company objectives
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) including delivery times, customer satisfaction, and operational costs
• Prepare comprehensive weekly and monthly reports on regional operations for senior management
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost optimization
• Forecast staffing and resource requirements based on seasonal trends and business growth

Customer Service & Stakeholder Management
• Ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained across all delivery touchpoints
• Handle escalated customer complaints and implement corrective actions
• Build and maintain positive relationships with key business clients and corporate account managers
• Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support regional growth initiatives

Compliance & Safety
• Ensure all operations comply with local transportation regulations and company policies
• Implement and enforce safety protocols for couriers, including proper handling of packages and road safety
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle documentation, insurance, and driver licenses
• Support the company's sustainability initiatives, particularly in e-mobility and environmental preservation


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
• Relevant professional certifications in logistics or transportation management will be an added advantage

Experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in courier, logistics, or transportation industry
• At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience leading operational teams
• Demonstrated track record of improving operational efficiency and meeting delivery targets
• Experience with last-mile delivery operations and route optimization is highly desirable

Technical Skills & Competencies
• Valid driver's license with proven safe driving record
• Strong proficiency in logistics management software and delivery tracking systems
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace
• Excellent understanding of route planning and geographical knowledge of Ghana's road networks
• Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and fleet management technologies

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English (knowledge of local languages is a plus)

• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays when required
• Physical fitness and ability to perform field operations when necessary
