Job Description

Pakistan Security Printing Corporation (Pvt.) Limited, (PSPC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of State Bank of Pakistan under Companies Act, 2017. The Corporation, being the nation’s sole security printing entity responsible for producing banknotes, passports, and other security documents, is looking for dynamic, high caliber, experienced professional to further strengthen its capacity to achieve its strategic goals and objectives.



The incumbent is responsible for operational effectiveness and efficiency of the HVAC system and overseeing skilled mechanical work in the repair, inspection, servicing, and alteration of Plant’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems and related equipment and facilities including chillers, waste heat recovery systems, hot water chillers, air handling units, exhaust fans, circulating pumps, and energy management equipment; operate and maintain a wide variety of hand and power tools and equipment; assure that a comfortable and ambient environment (temperature and humidity) is maintained at production halls, strongrooms and other places/offices; and assist in performing other skilled maintenance duties as assigned.



Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:



  1. Schedules, directs, and provides technical support for HVAC technicians to meet service demands and production department expectations. 
  2. Ensure the temperature and humidity in all production environments is maintained as per the OEM recommendation for production.
  3. Ensure timely addressing of plant’s thermoregulation unit issues in case of faults.
  4. Implement and ensure regular / schedule maintenance as per OEM recommendation.
  5. Optimize the operations of equipment for highest efficiency keeping cost to the minimum.
  6. Communicates daily with management for reporting on plant information, estimated time to Complete scheduled jobs, labor hours and parts or material used 
  7. Address complaints of Split units and Water coolers within 24 hours of the complaint
  8. In coordination with Inventory & Logistic Department, maintain recommended spares for corrective maintenances of plant equipment
  9. Supervises and directs the HVAC technicians to effectively perform the functions of equipment repair, installation, start-up, operation and other duties as required 
  10. Reviews technicians’ work to ensure quality meets established standards, techniques and safety requirements; makes recommendations as requirements to improve quality and productivity 
  11. Establishes and maintains a regular training program to ensure that HVAC technicians are properly trained on latest service techniques and safety procedures for equipment and general working conditions 
  12. Maintains communication with vendors and factory personnel concerning warranty 
  13. Addresses operational problems with products, premature failures and other issues as they apply to products and equipment serviced by the HVAC Service Department 
  14. Develops and monitors budgets to ensure departmental efficiency. 
  15. Reviews work orders, invoices and time reports for accuracy. 
  16. Specifies and makes sure that required parts are ordered in timely manner to meet deadlines. 
  17. Ensures that all Organization /department policies are being followed by all HVAC technicians. 
  18. Other tasks and responsibilities as required to maintain efficient department operations.
  19. Set performance goals, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development for team members in collaboration with Department/Group Head.



Eligibility Criteria:



Education:

A minimum of sixteen years of education in Mechanical/ HVAC Engineering, or a related discipline from reputed university recognized by Higher Education Commission (HEC). Candidates holding a Master’s Degree will be given preference.



Certification such as Lean & Six Sigma, will be considered as an added advantage.



Age:

Maximum 35 years as on the last date of submission of application to PSPC.



Experience:

At least 07 years’ relevant experience with 02 years in supervisory (middle level) capacity in any reputable organization.
