Job Purpose:
The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for providing excellent table service to guests, ensuring a pleasant dining experience from seating to departure. This role requires a friendly demeanor, efficiency, and a strong knowledge of the menu.
Key Responsibilities:
- Service Delivery: Greet guests, present menus, take accurate food and beverage orders, and serve items promptly.
- Menu Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and potential allergens.
- Upselling: Recommend daily specials, beverages, and desserts to enhance the guest experience and increase revenue.
- Table Maintenance: Set up tables, clear dishes, and maintain a clean and organized dining area.
- Coordination: Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Billing: Present bills accurately and process payments efficiently.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for extended periods.
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
