Job Summary
The Area Sales Manager will lead sales operations across Onitsha and the South-East region, driving aggressive market penetration and managing key distributor networks
Key Responsibilities
-Drive sales growth and achieve set targets within Onitsha and surrounding markets
-Develop and manage a strong distributor and wholesale network
-Open new channels and onboard high-volume retailers and bulk buyers
-Execute route-to-market strategies to ensure efficient product distribution
-Monitor stock levels and ensure consistent product availability
-Lead, train, and motivate field sales teams
-Analyze sales data and market trends to optimize performance
-Ensure strong presence in major markets (e.g., open markets, kiosks, supermarkets)
-Manage pricing, promotions, and competitor positioning
Requirements
-Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field
-4+ years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably in high-volume markets
-Strong understanding of Onitsha market dynamics and trade channels
-Experience managing distributors and large-volume traders
-Strong negotiation and influencing skills
-Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
