Job Summary:
The Assistant Supply Chain Manager will support the development and execution of supply chain strategies to optimize cost, efficiency, and service delivery across Nexus Green's renewable energy and infrastructure projects across East Africa.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and implementing supply chain strategies to optimize cost and efficiency.
- Supervise the procurement, warehousing, and logistics teams.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with departments to forecast demand.
- Negotiate contracts with key suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
- Manage a team of procurement and supply chain staff.
- Monitor the work delegated to the team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics management.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
