About the Role
Dia-Emerald Consult is seeking an experienced and results-driven Chief Operating Officer (COO) for a fast-growing healthcare facility in Accra. The successful candidate will provide strategic and operational leadership, oversee hospital operations, improve service delivery, and ensure efficient resource utilization while maintaining high standards of patient care and safety.
Key Responsibilities
- * Oversee daily hospital operations and coordinate activities across departments.
- * Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- * Monitor service delivery and implement corrective measures to improve efficiency.
- * Lead hospital projects, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and risk management.
- * Manage contractors, suppliers, procurement, and equipment maintenance.
- * Monitor operational costs, budgets, revenue performance, and resource utilisation.
- * Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- * Prepare operational performance reports and provide recommendations to the CEO.
- * Identify opportunities for business growth, cost reduction, and improved patient experience.
Requirements and Qualifications
- * Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Hospital Management, or a related field.
- * A master’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Public Health, or a related discipline is an advantage.
- * At least 7–10 years of relevant management experience, preferably in healthcare or the insurance industry.
- * Proven experience in senior operational leadership and managing multiple departments.
- * Strong knowledge of budgeting, strategic planning, performance management, and risk management.
- * Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
