Advans Ghana is a leading financial institution licensed by the Bank of Ghana, incorporated in 2007 as a Savings and Loans company. Job Summary

The Coordinator, Management Control and Reporting provides key indicators for the company's strategic and operational management. This role plays a strategic part in designing and producing reports, developing strategic directions and budgets, analyzing variances, and proposing optimization plans. The position is based in Accra, Greater Accra Region, Ghana.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversight of the Management Control Function

  • Oversee the overall Management Control Function of Advans Ghana
  • Contribute to defining the strategic directions of Advans Ghana in collaboration with General Management
  • Analyze variances between forecasts and actual results, providing recommendations to operational departments for necessary adjustments
  • Optimize costs and ensure budget compliance
  • Implement dashboards and monitoring indicators
  • Track the financial and operational performance of Advans Ghana

2. Budget and Forecast Management

  • Organize the budgeting process and ensure coordination between the various departments and divisions
  • Review and consolidate budgets to establish a reliable overall budget
  • Monitor actual performance against the budget and propose adjustments to General Management if necessary

3. Development and Production of Reports

  • Design and produce monthly operational reports to monitor performance and facilitate decision-making
  • Ensure data reliability while optimizing its presentation
  • Produce and present high-quality management information for committees and governance forums

4. Ad Hoc Analytical Works and Team Management

  • Conduct ad hoc analytical works as required
  • Coordinate reporting timelines and ensure all deadlines are met across recurring and ad hoc reporting
  • Provide support for the development of presentations for internal meetings, project committees, and management reviews

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance

Experience

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Preferably with exposure to data-related work

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Knowledge of management reporting and dashboard development
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments
