Job Summary
SHAQ EXPRESS is seeking detail-oriented and trustworthy National Service Personnel to join our Finance & Accounts Department. The successful candidate will support daily financial operations by preparing invoices and receipts, tracking customer payments, reconciling cash-on-delivery (COD) collections, bank and mobile money transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting with routine reporting. This role provides hands-on experience in financial controls, reconciliation, and operational accounting within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare approved client invoices, official receipts, and supporting documentation accurately and on time.
* Record and monitor client payments, COD collections, and other operational revenue.
* Reconcile rider remittances, client accounts, bank statements, and mobile money transactions against internal records.
* Maintain petty cash records, vouchers, receipts, and replenishment schedules.
* Update daily and weekly finance schedules and follow up on outstanding payments and missing supporting documents.
* Investigate financial discrepancies, document findings, and escalate unresolved issues promptly.
* Organize invoices, receipts, statements, and reconciliation records to ensure they are audit-ready.
* Prepare routine schedules and summaries to support month-end financial reporting.
* Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with internal financial control procedures.
* Support the Finance team with administrative and operational accounting tasks as assigned.
Requirements
* Eligible to undertake National Service in the 2026/2027 service year.
* Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
* Basic understanding of bookkeeping, financial records, and reconciliation processes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including basic formulas, sorting, and filtering.
* Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
* High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
* Internship or practical experience in finance, bookkeeping, auditing, or cash management.
* Familiarity with accounting software or financial management systems.
* Experience creating reconciliation schedules in Excel or Google Sheets.
* Exposure to bank reconciliation, mobile money transactions, COD reconciliation, or revenue tracking.
