A fast-growing organization in the financial services industry is seeking a proactive, target-driven, and customer-focused Loan Officer to join its team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying prospective borrowers, assessing loan applications, supporting customer onboarding, and ensuring effective loan recovery while maintaining strong client relationships.
· Prospect and onboard eligible clients for loan products and financial services
· Educate clients on available loan options, repayment terms, and eligibility requirements
· Assess customer applications and conduct basic credit and background checks
· Support the loan application and approval process
· Ensure proper documentation and accurate record keeping
· Monitor client repayment schedules and follow up on overdue accounts
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to encourage retention and referrals
· Meet assigned loan disbursement and recovery targets
· Conduct field visits and customer engagement activities where necessary
· Prepare periodic reports on portfolio performance and customer feedback
· HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics or related field
· Minimum of 1–3 years’ experience in lending, sales, microfinance, banking or customer service
· Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
· Ability to assess customer needs and recommend suitable financial solutions
· Good numerical and analytical skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
· Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
· Knowledge of loan recovery processes is an advantage
