Job Purpose
To support the University’s financial operations by efficiently processing transactions, maintaining accurate ledgers, and ensuring adherence to public financial management regulations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Process invoices, receipts, payments, and journal entries in the accounting system.
  • Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Manage petty cash disbursements and reconciliation.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, variance reports, and annual financial statements.
  • Support internal and external audit exercises by preparing required schedules.
  • Administer payroll inputs and statutory deductions (e.g., SSNIT, PAYE).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Part qualification in ACCA, CIMA, or ICA (Ghana) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in a busy finance environment.

Core Competencies

  • High numeracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., Sage, Tally) and advanced Excel.
  • Understanding of public sector financial regulations (FAR) is a plus.
