JOB PURPOSE
To oversee the organization’s financial management, including budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, and compliance, while providing strategic financial guidance to support effective decision‑making and ensure the efficient use of resources.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the preparation and coordination of annual budgets and periodic forecasts in consultation with programme and unit heads.
- Ensure the company’s operations are aligned with approved financial allocations and strategic priorities.
- Provide expert input into medium‑term financial planning and resource allocation decisions.
- Monitor budget performance and advise management on variances, risks and corrective actions.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements including monthly, quarterly and annual reports in accordance with Public Sector Accounting Standards (e.g., IPSAS) and Ghanaian financial regulations.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements pertaining to financial reporting, tax, statutory levies and internal controls.
- Coordinate and support the statutory audit process and implementation of audit recommendations.
- Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, receivables, payables, fixed assets register, payroll and financial reconciliations.
- Supervise and mentor finance staff to build capacity and improve performance.
- Any other duties assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Expertise / Experience)
Chartered Accountant with at least 7 years working experience in the Finance, Audit, Account in a financial sector.
