Job Description:
The Financial Controller will oversee all financial activities including reporting, budgeting, compliance, and strategy. They will serve as a key business partner to senior leadership, driving financial performance and ensuring operational efficiency while supporting creative excellence and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.
- Translate complex financial data into strategic business insights for management decision-making.
- Present financial trends, risks, and opportunities to the Executive Team.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process in alignment with company objectives.
- Monitor budget performance and recommend actions to improve profitability.
- Develop financial models for product launches, retail expansion, and business initiatives.
Compliance and Internal Controls
Ensure full compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen internal controls and safeguard company assets.
- Manage annual audits and maintain strong relationships with auditors.
Strategic Financial Management:
- Partner with the CEO and Creative Director on strategic investments and financial planning.
- Develop financial strategies to sustain growth and profitability.
- Conduct financial due diligence for partnerships and expansion projects.
Operational & Process Excellence:
- Improve finance systems and reporting processes for efficient decision-making.
- Oversee treasury, payroll, cash flow, and accounting operations.
- Identify and implement process efficiencies to enhance cost control.
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team.
- Collaborate across departments (Creative, Retail, Production, HR) to align financial goals.
- Represent Christie Brown with financial institutions and external partners.
