The Head of Credit Risk Governance provides independent oversight of the bank’s credit risk framework, ensuring governance, regulatory compliance, and effective challenge of credit decisions.
Job Description:
- Establish and maintain credit risk policy framework
- Oversee compliance with Bank of Ghana requirements
- Provide independent assurance to the Board and senior management on credit risk exposures and controls
- Ensure alignment with Basel III/IV principles and three lines of defense model
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and review credit risk policies and procedures
- Challenge credit risk decisions and provide independent oversight
- Ensure regulatory compliance and governance standards are met
- Report on credit risk exposures and mitigation strategies
- Support senior management and the Board with insights on credit risk
