HEAD OF PACKAGING

 Job Summary:
The Head of Packaging will lead the packaging function across the
organization, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and innovative packaging solutions that meet quality, regulatory, and sustainability standards. This role
combines strategic leadership, operational excellence, and continuous improvement to support the organization’s growth and product integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Planning
* Develop and implement the packaging strategy aligned with overall business goals.
* Lead packaging innovation, including materials optimization, design improvements, and sustainability initiatives.
* Collaborate with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to ensure packaging solutions are feasible and cost-effective.

Operational Excellence
* Oversee packaging operations across all manufacturing facilities,
ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and

safety regulations.
* Standardize packaging processes and implement best practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
* Manage procurement of packaging materials, negotiating with suppliers to optimize cost and quality.

Team Leadership & Development
* Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing packaging team,
fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
* Set clear objectives and KPIs for the team, monitor performance, and provide feedback.

Quality & Compliance
* Ensure all packaging complies with regulatory, environmental, and safety standards.
* Monitor packaging quality through audits, inspections, and testing.
* Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for packaging- related issues.

Innovation & Sustainability
* Drive sustainable packaging initiatives, including material reduction, recyclability, and eco-friendly alternatives.
* Identify and implement automation and digital solutions to enhance packaging efficiency and traceability.

Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor’s degree in Packaging Technology, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; MBA preferred.
* 10+ years of experience in packaging operations in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of packaging materials, machinery, automation, and sustainability practices.
* Excellent leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
* Analytical mind set with experience in cost optimization and operational KPIs.
