Manhattan Corp is looking to appoint a senior technical professional reporting to the CEO, responsible for grade control, mine controls, and mining–plant optimisation across an active narrow-vein underground gold operation producing approximately 10 000–20 000 tpm.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and report on underground grade control
- Control and report dilution and ore/waste separation in narrow-vein stoping
- Manage grade reconciliation from underground through ROM to plant feed
- Manage gold plant gold accounting and performance KPIs, including head grade, recovery, and losses, through direct engagement with plant management
- Use data and analytics to monitor performance and drive corrective actions
- Provide professional, structured, decision-grade reporting to the CEO
Requirement
- Candidates must have previously held responsibility for the above functions within another operating underground gold mine, and must be able to demonstrate successful control, reporting, and outcomes.
- Experience must reflect direct accountability, not advisory or observer roles.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in geology, mining, or metallurgy
- Minimum 10 years underground mining experience
- Proven experience in narrow-vein gold mining
- Direct exposure to gold processing plants
- Strong analytical and reporting capability
- Solid understanding of mine controls and underground mining techniques
- Experience gained in small to mid-sized operations preferred
Clarifying Note:
We are open to candidates from geology, mining, or metallurgy, provided they have personally owned grade control, dilution, and reconciliation outcomes in an operating underground gold mine.
