I am hiring for Lead Planning Engineer to be based in our Dubai Office.
The Lead Planning Engineer will lead and manage project planning activities for complex oil and gas EPC projects, specifically focused on Central Processing Facilities (CPF) and gas plants. This role demands deep expertise in project scheduling, resource planning, and progress monitoring, with a strong understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
-Project Scheduling & Control:
-Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
-Define activity relationships, critical paths, and milestones for engineering, procurement, and construction phases.
-Implement logic links across disciplines to ensure robust sequencing and predictability
Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
-Track actual progress against baseline schedules.
-Generate look-ahead schedules and variance reports.
-Conduct back-testing to validate schedule logic and refine dependencies
Coordination & Communication:
-Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align planning efforts.
-Interface with clients and vendors to ensure timely delivery of inputs and outputs.
-Support internal coordination through planning-based deliverables tracking.
Risk & Change Management:
Identify schedule risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Manage scope changes and update schedules accordingly.
Qualifications:
Education:
-Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline). Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
-Minimum 15 years total experience, with at least 10 years in planning roles for oil and gas EPC projects.
-Proven track record in CPF or gas plant projects.
Experience with modular and skid-based EPC execution is a plus
.
Skills:
-Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
-Familiarity with FEED, detailed engineering, and commissioning phases.
