LOGISTICS ASSISTANT

About the Role

A reputable agro-industrial company is seeking a highly organized, vigilant, and detail-oriented professional to join its team as a Logistics Assistant.

The successful candidate will provide administrative support for logistics and supply chain operations while also assisting in maintaining a safe and secure working environment. The role requires a proactive individual with strong organizational,  communication, and record-keeping skills who can effectively support operational efficiency and security compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics Administration

• Provide administrative support to logistics and supply chain operations.
• Prepare, organize, update, and maintain logistics documentation and records.
• Coordinate documentation related to inventory movement, deliveries, and transportation activities.
• Ensure accurate filing and retrieval of operational records and reports.
• Support the logistics team in tracking shipments and maintaining operational schedules.

Security Monitoring & Compliance

Communications & Media Studies

• Conduct regular patrols and inspections of assigned areas to ensure safety and security compliance.
• Monitor activities within the premises and promptly report suspicious behavior or security concerns.
• Maintain accurate records of visitors, contractors, and security incidents.
• Assist in enforcing company security policies and procedures.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and security breaches.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare routine reports on logistics activities and security observations.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, investigations, and corrective actions.
• Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and submitted within required timelines.

Operational Support

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth operational activities.
• Assist with inventory control and supply chain coordination activities when required.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience

Shipping & Logistics

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years relevant experience in logistics, supply chain administration, security operations, or a related role.
• Experience within a manufacturing, agro-processing, logistics, or industrial environment will be an advantage.

Working Conditions
