About the Role
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-oriented Receptionist to be the first point of contact for our guests. In this role, you will greet customers, manage inquiries, process payments, and ensure the front-of-house area remains tidy and welcoming. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and a warm, approachable demeanor.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Greeting: Warmly welcome and acknowledge all customers as they enter the establishment, creating a positive first impression.
- Order Taking & Inquiries: Take customer orders accurately, answer questions about the menu, services, or products, and provide recommendations when appropriate.
- Payment Processing: Handle cash, card, and mobile money transactions efficiently and accurately; balance the till at the end of each shift.
- Phone & Email Management: Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and take reservations or delivery orders professionally.
- Customer Service: Address and resolve customer complaints or concerns promptly, escalating complex issues to management when necessary.
- Workspace Maintenance: Keep the reception desk, waiting area, and surrounding work areas clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Administrative Support: Assist with basic administrative tasks such as maintaining visitor logs, filing, and coordinating with other departments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Minimum of WASSCE / SHS certificate; a diploma in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field is an advantage.
- Experience: Previous experience in a customer service or front-desk role is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic numeracy and cash-handling abilities.
- Familiarity with POS systems and mobile money platforms.
- Attributes: Presentable, punctual, friendly, and able to multitask in a busy environment.
