Job Summary
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving sales growth, market expansion, and distributor effectiveness within the assigned region.
The role involves managing sales teams, building distribution channels, strengthening key customer relationships, and delivering regional sales targets that align with Goonite Hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement regional sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company goals and expand the customer base within the region.
Drive product penetration and market share growth across all assigned territories.
Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Collaborate with the sales team to set sales targets and develop action plans.
Lead, coach, and supervise Area Sales Managers and field sales teams.
Set clear performance expectations and conduct monthly performance reviews.
Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales representatives within the region.
Appoint, manage, and strengthen relationships with distributors and key trade partners.
Ensure optimal product availability, visibility, and merchandising across the region.
Monitor distributor stock levels, sales out, collections, and territory coverage.
Identify new business opportunities, emerging markets, and expansion areas.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers within the region.
Resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and effective manner.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
4–6 years of sales experience in FMCG, preferably in hygiene (Diaper and Sanitary pad), personal care, or consumer goods
At least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial sales role.
Strong understanding of route-to-market and distributor management.
Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
Strong knowledge of the major markets in South-East — including key distributors, open markets, and modern trade outlets.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
