Job Summary: The retail distributor is responsible for the efficient and cost-effective distribution of products from the manufacturer or wholesaler to retail stores. This includes overseeing the logistics of transportation, inventory management, and order fulfillment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the distribution of products from manufacturers/wholesalers to retail locations
- Coordinate with retail buyers to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
- Optimize shipping routes and transportation methods to minimize costs and delivery times
- Maintain accurate inventory records and monitor stock levels at retail outlets
- Communicate regularly with retail managers to address any distribution issues or concerns
- Analyze sales data and distribution trends to identify opportunities for process improvements
- Ensure all distribution activities comply with relevant regulations and company policies
- Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to support promotional campaigns

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in retail distribution or transportation management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in using logistics management software and data analysis tools
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and distribution best practices
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a commercial vehicle

Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with a variety of retail formats (e.g., big box stores, specialty shops, online retailers)
- Familiarity with retail industry trends and market dynamics
- Certification in logistics or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CSCMP)
- Proficiency in project management and process improvement methodologies
