Job Summary:
Kamativi Mining Company (KMC) is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Social Responsibility Manager. The incumbent will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive social responsibility strategies, fostering constructive relationships with stakeholders, and ensuring that company operations align with both local and international standards of community engagement, sustainability, and cultural heritage protection.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and implement social responsibility and community engagement strategies in compliance with Zimbabwean legislation and international best practices.
* Lead the Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC) process in Indigenous communities, ensuring transparent consultation, informed participation, and accurate record-keeping.
* Coordinate cultural heritage protection programs and facilitate community participation in cultural preservation and sustainable development initiatives.
* Conduct community needs assessments,
formulate support plans, and establish
sustainable community development frameworks.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with government bodies, non-governmental organizations, community leaders, and internal stakeholders.
* Promote respect for Indigenous traditions and customs while facilitating cross-cultural understanding in all project activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Anthropology, Sociology, or a related discipline.
* Candidate preferred, with in-depth understanding of the country's social, cultural, historical, political, and economic context.
* Proficiency in many local languages, with strong written and oral communication skills.
* A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including successful leadership of FPIC processes, cultural heritage protection initiatives, or community support projects.
