There is a job vacancy within the Finance and Business Intelligence Department of Letshego Ghana for the above-mentioned position. The details of the role are outlined below:
Purpose of Job:
To provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Company’s treasury function by effectively managing liquidity, cash flow, funding, investments, and financial risk while ensuring regulatory compliance, safeguarding the Company’s financial resources, supporting business growth and maximising profitability.
Critical Deliverables/Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement treasury strategies that support the Company’s financial objectives.
- Oversee the Company’s daily cash flow, liquidity position and funding requirements.
- Monitor and forecast cash flows to ensure adequate liquidity for operational and strategic needs.
- Lead balance sheet management initiatives with emphasis on capital adequacy, funding optimisation and liquidity planning.
- Develop and oversee funding strategies to support business growth while optimising the cost of funds.
- Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) framework to facilitate accurate margin attribution and profitability reporting.
Education
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Banking and Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ relevant experience in treasury, corporate finance or financial management within a bank or financial institution.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Demonstrated experience in liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, investment management, funding strategies and financial risk management.
Certifications
- ACCA, CIMA, ICA (GH), CFA or ACT will be an added advantage.
Knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of treasury operations and treasury products.
- Strong understanding of liquidity management, balance sheet management and Asset and Liability Management (ALM).
- Sound knowledge of interest rate risk, funding and capital management.
- Good understanding of financial markets, money market instruments and investment management.
- Knowledge of treasury management systems, financial modelling and financial reporting.
- Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements governing treasury operations within the financial services industry.
