SEG International is looking for a motivated Water Resources / Hydrology & Storm Water Engineer to join our Infrastructure & Water Resources team in Cairo. This role offers the opportunity to work on major urban infrastructure and water management projects across the Gulf region, contributing to sustainable and resilient development.
You will support the planning, modeling, and design of stormwater and flood protection systems, working closely with experienced engineers and multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform hydrological and hydraulic analysis for stormwater and flood protection projects
• Develop and run models for storm drainage networks, channels, culverts, and floodplains
• Conduct rainfall analysis, IDF curves, and watershed assessments using GIS tools
• Prepare hydrological study reports and hydraulic assessment documentation
• Utilize engineering software such as:
ArcGIS / QGIS
HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS (1D & 2D), WMS, Sewer GEMS, Civil 3D
• Support model calibration, sensitivity analysis, and result interpretation
• Assist in preparing design calculations, technical reports, and project documentation
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated infrastructure design.
Qualifications:
· bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Water Resources Engineering, or related discipline
· 0–4 years of experience in hydrology, stormwater, or water resources engineering
· Knowledge of hydrological and hydraulic modeling tools
· Understanding of stormwater drainage and flood risk management principles
· Strong analytical, technical writing, and communication skills
· Ability to work both independently and within multidisciplinary teams
