Job Purpose:
To provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the branch, driving business growth, ensuring portfolio quality, and delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining strict adherence to regulatory and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch, ensuring efficient service delivery and workflow management.
- Business Development: Develop and implement local sales and marketing strategies to achieve deposit mobilization and loan disbursement targets.
- Risk & Credit Management: Monitor the branch’s loan portfolio, ensure timely repayments, and proactively manage Non-Performing Loans (NPLs) in collaboration with the credit team.
- Team Management: Lead, coach, and mentor branch staff (including Credit Officers and Customer Service Representatives) to enhance performance and professional growth.
- Compliance: Ensure full compliance with Bank of Ghana regulations, internal policies, and anti-money laundering (AML) procedures.
- Customer Experience: Maintain high standards of customer service, resolving escalated client issues and ensuring client retention.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate branch performance reports (financial, operational, and risk) to management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Banking & Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA/MSc) or professional certification (e.g., CIBN, ACCA) is an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in banking or microfinance, with proven experience in credit management, branch operations, customer service, and team leadership.
