Job Summary:
The Heavy Earth Moving Machine Mechanic will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of heavy construction and mining equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and minimal downtime.
Equipment Handled:
- Excavators
- Bulldozers
- Wheel Loaders
- Motor Graders
- Dump Trucks / Tippers
- Cranes and other heavy-duty machinery
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, SSCE, Trade Test, or equivalent technical qualification
- Proven experience as a heavy equipment or earth moving machine mechanic
- Strong knowledge of diesel and CNG engines, hydraulic systems, and powertrain systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and schematics
- Proficiency in the use of diagnostic equipment and hand/power tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of workplace safety procedures and proper PPE usage
