Overview:
The Human Resource Assistant provides administrative and operational support to the HR department, ensuring efficient day-to-day HR operations. This role focuses on employee records management, recruitment support, onboarding, and HR documentation while assisting with policy implementation and employee engagement initiatives. The assistant works closely with HR officers, managers, and employees to support a positive and compliant workplace. Strong organisational skills, confidentiality, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.


Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR administrative support: Assist with daily HR operations, including maintaining employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
  • Support recruitment processes: Coordinate job postings, screen CVs, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding: Support new hire orientation, documentation, system access, and exit procedures.
  • Maintain HR systems and databases: Update HR information systems with accurate employee data and ensure data confidentiality.
  • Support employee relations: Respond to basic HR queries and escalate issues to the appropriate HR personnel when necessary.
  • Assist with payroll and attendance records: Support the preparation of timesheets, leave records, and payroll-related documentation.
  • Support HR policies and compliance: Help ensure HR practices align with company policies, labour laws, and organisational standards.
  • Prepare reports and documentation: Assist in generating HR reports, letters, and internal communications.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or certification in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in an HR administrative or support role is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with recruitment processes, HR documentation, and labour regulations.
  • Experience working in fast-paced or remote environments.
  • Proactive, organised, and eager to learn with a strong sense of professionalism.
