Job Description
Silgh Engineering Limited is looking for a highly experienced Lead Wellhead Engineer / Technical Authority to provide technical leadership for wellhead engineering projects. The successful candidate will oversee technical integrity, guide engineering teams, and ensure wellhead systems and associated equipment meet applicable industry standards and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on wellhead engineering projects.
- Review and approve technical specifications, procedures, and engineering documentation within delegated authority.
- Oversee wellhead systems, casing spools, wellhead housings, casing/tubing hangers, seals, and pressure testing.
- Provide technical guidance on equipment selection, installation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with API 6A, ISO 10423, and applicable engineering standards.
- Support technical risk assessments and resolve complex engineering issues.
- Coordinate with clients, project managers, and field engineering teams.
- Mentor engineers and promote safe, reliable engineering practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
- 10–15+ years of experience in wellhead engineering.
- Proven experience with wellhead systems, casing spools, wellhead housings, casing/tubing hangers, seals, and pressure testing.
- Previous experience serving as Lead Engineer or Technical Authority on wellhead projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Petroleum, Oil & Gas, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong knowledge of API 6A / ISO 10423.
- Wellhead OEM training/certification is highly desirable.
- Onshore/offshore experience required.
