About the Opportunity
DWR Executive Search is recruiting two experienced Service Supervisors on behalf of a client operating in Ghana’s mining industry.
The successful candidates will oversee heavy equipment maintenance and repair operations, supervise technical teams, ensure equipment reliability and promote safe and efficient operations.
This opportunity is suitable for qualified mechanical engineering professionals with extensive experience in heavy equipment maintenance and a strong background in technical supervision.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise mechanics, apprentices and other technical personnel.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, servicing and repair of heavy mining equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and ensure timely repairs.
• Plan and monitor maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance teams.
• Monitor equipment performance and operational efficiency.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate with management and other relevant stakeholders.
• Promote teamwork, productivity and high-quality workmanship.
Qualifications and Requirements
• A qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Extensive practical experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair.
• Approximately 5–7 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in mining or a similar heavy industrial environment.
• Previous experience supervising technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a demanding mining environment.
