School Counselor

 Key Responsibilities

•  Provide preventive counseling services to support students' academic, personal, social, and emotional development. 
•  Offer individual and group counseling sessions where appropriate. 
•  Identify students requiring additional support and make referrals when necessary. 
•  Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school leadership to promote student well-being. 
•  Maintain confidential and accurate student counseling records. 
•  Organize and facilitate wellness, career, and personal development programs. 
•  Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. 
•  Perform any other duties assigned by management. 

Education, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

The Ideal Candidate Should Have:

•  A Bachelor's degree in Guidance and Counseling, Psychology, or a related field. 
•  A Master's degree in Mental Health, Counseling, Psychology, or a related discipline is an advantage. 
•  A recognized qualification in therapeutic intervention. 
•  Registration with the Health Care Professionals Council (HCPC) or the relevant professional regulatory body. 
•  Previous counseling experience in an educational setting is an added advantage.

•  Ability to build trust and rapport with students from diverse backgrounds. 
•  Strong organizational and time-management skills. 
•  Sound knowledge of counseling techniques, interventions, and student support resources.

•  Passion for supporting students' academic success and personal development. 
•  Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
