Job Summary:
Applications are invited for the SHE Officer position that has arisen within Baker's INN Manufacturing - Southern Region, Bulawayo.
Key Responsibilities:
The Candidate will be required to take full charge of all key responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:
* Perform all tasks in compliance with given safety, health and environment procedures, codes, standards and regulations.
* Carrying out baseline risk assessments on new sites and design risk mitigation measures.
* Implementing, maintaining and reviewing SHE management systems.
* Carrying out Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) and putting in place corrective measures.
* Maintaining compliance with the requirements of the Factories and Works Act Chapter 14.08, Pneumoconiosis Act Chapter 15.08, NSSA Act Chapter 17.04 and Environmental Management Act Chapter 20.07.
* Drafting standard operating procedures (SOPs) to make sure that work is conducted.
* Ensures regular inspection of Firefighting, safety and emergency response equipment.
* Assist in developing employee training or other programs to be implemented across the organization.
* Assist in the compilation of daily, weekly, monthly annual SHE reports.
Minimum Requirements:
The ideal candidate should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications: -
* A Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related qualifications.
* At least 3 years' experience in a similar SHE Officer role, preferably within the manufacturing environment.
* Full membership of a recognized professional institution.
* Excellent report writing skills and excellent computer skills.
