Job Summary:
We are seeking a results-driven and experienced Accountant to drive strategic decision-making, and ensure the company's financial health and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- The performance of financial management duties which include generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports, analyzing industry trends and assessing the financial health of the company.
- Overseeing the operations and development of the company's finance departments including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
- Ensure the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliations and reporting.
- Develop budgets based on forecast and analyze to ensure that the company's expenditure is within budget.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Excel and modelling
- Creating statutory accounts
- Ability to delegate and manage the work of others
- Experience with QuickBooks and other accounting software
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Experience running annual audit
Requirements:
- First Degree in Accounting
- 7 years proven accounting experience (preferably in the transportation Industry)
- Knowledge of Accounting procedures and principles.
- Computer literate
- Age: 37 years and above
- Must be married
