Job Duties and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Programme Officer, the Programme Assistant will:-

   Provide technical. organisational and administrative support in the timely and smooth implementation of the tasks and responsibilities linked to the project plans and priorities.
-    Assist in the follow up of the management of programme implementation in the operational area  
-    Assist in close collaboration with the stakeholders and partners to ensure close and appropriate linkages between the SLL program team and the Community Health Volunteers. 
-    Provide the field level data on the implementation of the SLL project.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities (continued)

The Programme Assistant is responsible for:

Administrative Support:

  • Accountable for providing professional administrative expertise and support.
  •  Support the Senior Officer in the organization of meetings internally or externally: Planning and events, issuing and preparing invitations and requests for meetings.
  • Attend meetings with partners at the facility level and ensure that field plans and reports are updated on timely basis. 
  •  Keep record of IFRC assets and equipment in the field office.

Program &Reporting:

  • Conduct training to Community Health Volunteers in collaboration with Senior Programme Officer.
  • Develop field level implementation plans 
  • Monitor the quality of project implementation at field level and compile weekly and monthly reports.
  •  Coordinate and collaborate with MoH health facility staff and IP representatives.
  • Review RCCE tools in collaboration with MoH and relevant stakeholders.

Perform any other task assigned by Line or Technical Manager



Education

  • Relevant university degree in Community Development, Public Health , Social Sciences or other related fields 

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in community development, public Health or social sciences Related projects
  • Experience working with international non- governmental organization
  • Experience in writing report, case studies and M&E 
  • Basic skills training in health or community field

Knowledge, Skills and Languages

  • Self-supporting in computers 
  • Very good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Motivated, self-started personality, sense of responsibility and organization skills 
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to identify and handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Good negotiation skills, good judgment and maturity
  • Good knowledge of the operational context and area
  • Flexibility and ability to travel in the operation’s areas

 

Languages:

  • Fluent in written and spoken English. 
  • Fluent in written and spoken French
