Job Summary:
The Compliance & Regulatory Officer ensures that Alof Minerals Limited operates in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role is critical for managing risk, overseeing the Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols, and maintaining the company's license to trade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Adherence: Monitor and ensure compliance with the Minerals and Mining Act, PMMC regulations, and the Bank of Ghana’s foreign exchange laws.
- KYC/AML: Implement and manage robust Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) procedures for all suppliers and partners.
- Internal Audits: Conduct regular internal audits to ensure operational departments comply with internal policies and statutory requirements.
- Licensing: Manage the renewal and maintenance of all necessary operational licenses and permits.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit regulatory reports to government agencies within stipulated deadlines.
- Risk Management: Identify compliance risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company’s reputation and operational license.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in compliance, legal, or risk management, preferably in the mining or financial services sector.
- In-depth understanding of Ghana’s mining regulations and AML/CFT laws.
- Strong analytical and ethical judgment skills.
- Excellent report writing and communication abilities.
