Job Summary
KEY Architectural Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Financial Controller to oversee its financial operations, strengthen financial controls, and support business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial planning, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and risk management, particularly within the construction industry.
The ideal candidate will possess strong financial leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and extensive experience managing complex financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the company’s accounting and financial management operations.
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organisational objectives.
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, expenditure, revenue, and project profitability.
• Establish and maintain effective internal financial controls.
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
• Analyse financial performance and recommend strategies to improve profitability.
• Manage financial risks and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
• Supervise accounting personnel and strengthen financial reporting procedures.
• Collaborate with senior management, project managers, and other departments to support business decisions.
• Oversee project cost control and financial monitoring across construction projects.
• Coordinate internal and external audits.
Qualifications and Requirements
• A relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A professional accounting qualification, such as ACCA, CIMA, or an equivalent qualification, is an advantage.
• At least 17 years of relevant professional experience.
• Extensive knowledge of financial management within the construction industry is essential.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, taxation, and internal controls.
• Experience with financial management systems and accounting software.
• Excellent leadership, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication, integrity, and organizational abilities.
