Job Description
A reputable company is seeking an experienced and strategic Finance Manager to oversee its financial operations, reporting, budgeting, treasury management, and financial planning. The successful candidate will ensure regulatory compliance, maintain accurate financial records, manage relationships with auditors and financial institutions, and provide financial insights to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee periodic financial reporting, statutory audits, and reporting on the company’s financial position.
* Coordinate, develop, and analyse budgets in line with corporate objectives.
* Forecast financial performance and identify financial trends.
* Liaise with external auditors to support annual audits and financial reviews.
* Manage relationships with financial institutions, regulators, and key stakeholders.
* Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
* Advise management on taxation, including applicable corporate taxes and Goods and Services Tax (GST), as relevant.
* Prepare accurate financial reports within established deadlines.
* Develop long-term financial strategies and plans.
* Support effective cash flow, treasury, and banking management.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Master’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Professional qualification or membership with ACCA, ICA, or another relevant professional body.
* Minimum of seven years of experience in the oil and gas industry, covering downstream and upstream operations.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
* Strong planning, organisational, and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong negotiation, decision-making, and leadership abilities.
* Proven supervisory and financial management experience.
