About the Role
VivaFemini is seeking a highly experienced, commercially astute and strategically minded Head,
Finance & Investments to lead our financial strategy, capital raising, investment management and
corporate finance activities.
We are looking for more than a traditional finance or accounting professional. The successful
candidate must have demonstrable experience in raising capital, structuring investment
transactions, engaging institutional investors, and managing complex financing arrangements, alongside exceptional financial management capabilities.
You will work closely with the CEO and executive leadership team to secure and manage the
capital required to deliver VivaFemini's long-term growth and expansion strategy while
establishing strong financial governance and sustainable business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Capital Raising & Investment Management
● Develop and execute VivaFemini's capital-raising and investment strategy, including
debt, equity and other appropriate financing instruments.
● Identify, engage and build relationships with institutional investors, development finance
institutions, commercial banks, private equity firms, venture capital funds and other
potential financing partners.
● Lead the preparation of investment proposals, financial presentations, investor materials,
financing applications and supporting financial documentation.
● Coordinate investor engagement, financial due diligence, investment negotiations and
transaction execution.
● Evaluate financing structures, interest rates, repayment arrangements, investment terms
and their implications for the Company's financial sustainability.
● Manage relationships with investment advisers, financiers, financial institutions and other
transaction stakeholders.
● Oversee investment appraisal, financial feasibility assessments, valuation exercises and
financial analysis for expansion projects.
● Monitor financing conditions, capital commitments, drawdown requirements, lender
reporting obligations and financial covenants.
● Identify strategic investment opportunities, potential acquisitions and alternative
financing arrangements that support the Company's growth objectives.
Financial Strategy & Management
● Lead the development and execution of the Company's financial strategy, long-term
financial plans and capital allocation framework.
● Develop and maintain sophisticated, integrated financial models covering revenue,
expenditure, cash flow, profitability, capital expenditure and financing requirements.
● Oversee financial forecasting, scenario analysis, sensitivity testing, investment returns
and debt-servicing projections.
● Lead annual budgeting, financial planning, management reporting and financial
Requirements & Qualifications
● Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Banking, Investment Management
or a related discipline.
● Minimum of 10 years of progressive professional experience in corporate finance,
investment management, capital raising, financial strategy or related functions, including
substantial leadership experience.
● Demonstrable experience successfully raising or arranging significant debt or equity
financing, with direct involvement in investor engagement, transaction structuring,
negotiations and financial close.
● Proven ability to engage institutional investors, financial institutions, investment funds or development finance institutions.
● Exceptional financial modelling capabilities, including integrated financial statements,
discounted cash flow analysis, investment appraisal, sensitivity analysis and debt-
financing models.
● Strong understanding of capital structures, business valuation, investment instruments,
debt financing, equity financing and financial risk management.
● Substantial experience in strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury
management and corporate financial reporting.
● Ability to assess complex investment proposals, financing agreements and commercial
transactions.
● Strong knowledge of financial governance, accounting principles, internal controls and
relevant regulatory requirements.
● Demonstrated experience leading finance professionals and working with executive
leadership, Boards, investors and external financial advisers.
● Excellent commercial judgement, analytical thinking, negotiation, communication and
stakeholder management skills.
● Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling, with the ability to
independently develop, interrogate and defend complex financial projections.
Additional Advantages
● Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CFA or an equivalent recognised
qualification.
● An MBA or postgraduate degree in Finance, Investment Management, Economics or a
related discipline.
● Previous experience in investment banking, corporate finance advisory, private equity,
venture capital, development finance or a senior corporate finance leadership position.
● A demonstrable track record of participating in substantial capital-raising transactions,
particularly institutional debt or equity financing.
● Established professional relationships with development finance institutions, institutional
investors, investment banks, commercial lenders or international financing organisations.
● Experience structuring and managing large-scale, multi-tranche financing arrangements.
● Experience financing healthcare infrastructure, technology platforms, multi-location
service networks or other capital-intensive expansion projects.
● Knowledge of cross-border investment transactions, foreign exchange risk management
and international financing arrangements.
● Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, strategic investments, or corporate restructuring.
● Familiarity with investor reporting, lender compliance, project finance, and investment
portfolio management.
● Previous experience supporting a high-growth startup or scaling an organisation across
multiple markets.
