About the Role
Are you a results-driven professional with a passion for helping individuals and businesses access financial solutions? We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Loan Officer to join our team. In this role, you will identify potential clients, assess loan applications, build strong customer relationships, and drive loan portfolio growth while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and acquire new loan customers through prospecting and referrals.
- Promote the organization's loan products and financial services.
- Assess customers' financial needs and recommend suitable loan solutions.
- Evaluate loan applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Conduct client visits and credit assessments where necessary.
- Prepare loan documentation and facilitate timely loan processing and disbursement.
- Monitor loan repayments and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, lending procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare periodic reports on sales activities, loan performance, and customer engagements.
- Achieve assigned loan disbursement and portfolio growth targets.
Requirements
- HND or Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1–3 years' experience in lending, sales, microfinance, banking, or customer service.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service and relationship management abilities.
- Ability to assess customer needs and recommend suitable financial solutions.
- Target-driven with the ability to meet sales and loan disbursement goals.
- Good analytical, credit assessment, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
