Job Description
A reputable microfinance company is seeking three motivated and results-oriented male candidates to fill the position of Loan Officer. The successful candidates will be responsible for assessing loan applications, managing loan repayments, sourcing new customers, and maintaining strong relationships with clients while ensuring effective loan recovery.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate loan applications and assess the creditworthiness of prospective borrowers.
• Recommend suitable loan applications for approval.
• Collect loan repayments and recover arrears and overdue loans.
• Identify and attract new loan clients through prospecting and marketing.
• Maintain accurate records of loan repayments and collections.
• Prepare weekly arrears and loan recovery reports.
• Monitor clients’ businesses to assess their financial performance.
• Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
• Negotiate repayment arrangements with customers who have overdue loans.
Qualifications and Requirements
• Senior High School (SHS) certificate or Higher National Diploma (HND).
• At least one year of relevant working experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good negotiation and customer service abilities.
• Ability to assess credit risks and manage loan recovery.
• Strong record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Ability to meet targets and work independently.
Salary and Benefits
• Weekly Transport and Telephone Allowance: GH₵150
• Monthly Communication Allowance: GH₵40
• Additional Salary Benefit: GH₵300 will be added to the salary after six months of probation.
